Micropigmentation, or permanent makeup, is an exciting procedure that has evolved from the ancient art of tattooing which has beautified women in Asia for centuries.
A safe and effective procedure, micropigmentation is performed by depositing pigment into the skin with a special motorized instrument and a sterile needle. This technique can be performed for cosmetic enhancement (permanent makeup), such as eyeliner, eyebrows, lip liner, full lip color, or for corrective color (camouflage) of scars, burns, hypopigmented areas of skin, and for nipple/areola restoration following breast reconstruction surgery.
The pigments used for micropigmentation are available in a variety of earth and flesh tones, and can be mixed to closely match or highlight an individual’s skin tone or hair color.
Dr. Tonya Ward Jackson began her private practice in 1991 when she purchased New Vision Eye and Laser Center. She continues to provide all aspects of optometric care with an emphasis on Laser Vision Correction.
Dr, Jackson completed her training in Micropigmentation at the American Micropigmentation Academy in San Antonio, Texas. Her exceptional technical skills were recognized with an “Outstanding Student Award”.
